Daily Blog - Week 6

Monday June 25, 2007:

  Started working on a different GUI that displays an individual band. The display will also have a zoom feature.
 

Tuesday June 26, 2007:

  Trip to Montclair State University's School of Conservation. Completed a few team challenge courses.
 

Wednesday June 27, 2007:

  Trip to IBM Research Laboratories. Saw the fourth most powerful computer in the world, which is a Blue Gene computer. We were not allowed to tour the other Blue Gene computer that IBM had there (which is the first most powerful). We were also presented with Information on their HPC and Computational Biology endeavors.
 

Thursday June 28, 2007:

  Made a JDesktopPane to "house" the JInternalFrame that will contain the applet for displaying an image of a specific band.
 

Friday June 29, 2007:

  Began work on features for better visualization of the image. (zoom, rotate, scale, etc.) This is being accomplished through mouse listeners and popup menus for the image.
